Summer Wellness: Slow Down, Tune In, Feel Good

Summer Wellness: Slow Down, Tune In, Feel Good

There’s something about summer in Marin County that makes you want to breathe a little deeper.

The salty breeze from the Bay, golden hills under a blue sky, long evenings that stretch toward sunset—it’s a natural invitation to slow down and take care of ourselves in more mindful ways.

This isn’t about a strict routine or hitting the gym five days a week.

It’s about noticing the little things that help you feel more like yourself.

🌸 Start with Your Mornings

Let your summer days begin with intention. Maybe it's sipping coffee barefoot in the garden or a short walk before the world wakes up. Give yourself space to begin slowly—your nervous system will thank you. Sometimes…you will need a warm sweater for our summer mornings. 😉 IYKYK

🌊 Take Wellness Outside

Movement doesn’t have to be a chore. It can look like a sunrise hike on Ring Mountain or Phoenix Lake, a bike ride through Larkspur, the path along Blackies Pasture, or swimming laps at one of the community pools. Nature heals, and we’re lucky to be surrounded by it.

🍓 Eat What’s in Season

Wellness starts on the plate. Think berries, crisp cucumbers, stone fruits, and grilled veggies. Summer produce doesn’t just taste better—it makes you feel better. Let your meals be colorful and simple. Visit one of our many Farmer’s Markets if you don’t have your own garden.

🗃️ Refresh Your Home, Refresh Your Head

Declutter a drawer. Open all the windows. Add something green to your space. When your home feels lighter, your mind often follows. I am working on this myself, and it is not easy, what do I keep, what do I need? I am timing 30 minutes and challenging myself to clean out as much as I can in those 30 minutes.

🤍 Protect Your Peace

Wellness also means saying no. No to overpacked calendars. No to toxic group texts. No to things that drain you. Make time for quiet, for laughter, for books, for people who make you feel calm and seen.

️ Let Summer Be a Reset

It’s easy to rush through the season, but what if you didn’t? What if this summer was the one you remembered as the time you reconnected with your body, your home, and what really matters to you?

Wherever you are in your wellness journey, let this be your reminder: small shifts make a big difference.

And if a home that supports your lifestyle is part of your bigger picture, I’d love to help with that too.
